30 Years Experience Designing Survey Research Projects:
Dr. Yardley was an Associate Professor at Brock University for 27 years
and recently took on the full-time role of President at Metrics@Work (June, 2010).
His 30 years of experience in conducting organizational survey research will be
invaluable to the planning and survey administration of any survey project.
John has written approximately 300 consultative reports on Employee
Satisfaction / Engagement Survey findings and has worked with approximately
100 organizations to interpret and act on their findings.

Teaching and Research: John was involved in 25 years of research, including laboratory and field experiments, many survey based research projects, as well as a small number of quantitative research projects. He also mentored multiple graduate theses (masters level) and undergraduate research projects and taught many statistics and research design courses.
Publications: Includes 23 academic and professional articles (e.g., Journal of Organizational Behaviour, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Journal of Park and Recreation Administration, Social Indicators Research), 1 book chapter (Wellness in the Workplace), 18 technical research reports (e.g., National Employee Services and Recreation Association, Canadian Tire Acceptance Ltd.; Ontario Branch; Ontario Ministry of Health).
Organizational Consulting: consulted, developed and organized short training sessions, and workshops with a wide range of over 200 private, public, and volunteer organizations.

More than 16 Years Experience Designing and Running Survey Projects:
Beginning over 10 years ago, with Dr. Yardley, Mr. Rochon was a part of the original Brock University Workplace Health Research Laboratory Team (now Metrics@Work). Zak was involved in the early testing and development of all Metrics@Work’s survey and reporting systems. He has intimate knowledge of surveys, their development / design, project logistics, and production processes. His experience with municipal work organizations is extensive as he has worked with most of Metrics@Work’s 26 municipal clients. Prior to Metrics@Work, Zak worked for 3 years full time in the university research setting designing survey projects, and an additional 3 years prior to that he was managing university faculty research projects. As well as conducting his own undergraduate and graduate research projects, Zak has strong quantitative and qualitative research experience. Zak’s primary focus at Metrics@Work is in designing, implementing, and consulting on employee engagement survey projects.
Zak has designed and led over 100 successful survey projects with companies ranging in size from 100 to 20,000 employees. Zak consults on all aspects of research projects ranging from methodology development to action planning, and the interpretation of survey results.

Over 10 Years Experience Designing Survey Research Projects:
Mrs. Alexander initially joined Metrics@Work Inc. as a graduate student from Brock University more than 10 years ago, completing her Master’s thesis using Metrics@Work data. Prior to that Angela worked part-time for the Brock University Psychology Department as a teaching assistant in many different subject areas, including research design.
Angela was successively promoted over the past 10 years to currently being in charge of operations and administration. Angela has intimate knowledge and operating oversight of all survey production and report production processes, including all forms of quality assurance. She has been instrumental in the updating and improvement of the operational systems at Metrics@Work Inc. and is responsible for final contracting and financial administration. She has successfully managed multiple municipal client surveys from survey design through to report production. Angela can also assist in facilitated group sessions and in supporting consultation processes.

M.A. (Applied Health Sciences, Brock University; BA (Psychology, Brock University). Angela has been trained through multiple graduate and undergraduate courses and experiences in survey design, statistics and research methods (quantitative and qualitative).

Mokhtar K. Noka, DEA

Mokhtar has been with Metrics@Work. for 10 years, and has successfully created data analyses and
many of the graphics for over 500 organizational and work unit reports as well as conducting high
level statistical analyses and co-authoring academic presentations and papers with John.
Mokhtar has worked with large datasets (e.g., over 2 billion data points) from disparate data
sources and reassembled them into flat files for analyses, providing unique organizational and
operational insight for a major Canadian corporation. Mokhtar compiles and analyzes the data and creates all
customized report elements. His high level of statistical
knowledge and data mining / management as well as computing skills are invaluable as we conduct the data analyses,
generate custom reports and interpret the findings. Mokhtar is also
heavily involved in all of our applied research and development
activities.
